CIT ASSIST Training Opportunities

As part of this national initiative, the CIT ASSIST program partners are developing new web-based training which will be available on-demand, at no cost, to an unlimited number of public safety professionals and their community partners interested in learning more about CIT. The CIT ASSIST training, available in 2023 via the COPS Training Portal, will provide an overview of Crisis Intervention Teams and how your agency can benefit from implementing CIT in your community. The training content will be guided by the CIT ASSIST National Advisory Board and the CIT ASSIST Community of Practice (COPS Office CIT Implementation awardees).

In addition to the new training being developed, CIT ASSIST program partner CIT International, Inc. offers several training and certification programs, both in-person and online, as well as practitioner-level and train-the-trainer level courses.
